Ataroa Trimaran For Sale

Our Trimaran is presented for sale to the public. It is a 2007 Model with simple creature comforts, but well suited for those who want to spend their time sailing rather than at anchor or motoring around.
We will be uploading more pictures and a newly edited video.
Latest additions are totally new standing rigging made with Dynex DUX, state of the art synthetic line that boasts almost twice the strength of the stainless rigging and only 1/7th the weight of stainless rigging.
Also a new Carbon/Epoxy mast has been added with the rotating option. The boat is ready to sail. Below pictures show the details on the boat

Repainted bottom. July 6 2011 .The boat’s bottom was done with Interlux Interprotect followed by self ablative Micron CSC bottom paint.

All work done is painted with interlux  ” perfection” two part urethane paint which includes the mast, boom , and akas (arms of the amas, which had a gelcoat discoloration) and entire rudder system.

Retractable Amas do so in minutes. Well devised system
New custom dagger rudder system with safety breakaway system and quick retrieval and re- setting- Done in Epoxy composite and carbon, consists of a two piece cassette system for the rudder so it can be raised and lowered in a vertical position, utilizing many of the concepts of the Farrier designs, engineering advise and layup schedule from Ataroa’s designer Mark Kettering himself. Extra reserve buoyancy in the design of amas greatly improves seaworthiness, speed and safety
I can sail off a beach with merely 30 cm of depth, with perfect steering. You can adjust the rudder depth via the lines that control the up and down movement of the rudder. With the rudder totally vertical, there is absolutely no effort in steering.

Comments from the boat designer Mark Kettering, who personally built and supervised the construction of this particular boat in China, then brought it to the USA and outfitted it with US Stainless hardware, as well as done some fixing of problem areas:
“The mast was made using pulltrusion.  This is a fantastic method of making a mast since it uses high temperature cured epoxy and the pulling keeps the unidirectional fibers in line and under tension when the mast is curing. I also personally tested the mast to make sure it meets specifications.”
