Wood composite sandwich is used as an integral part of the board’s structure, giving the SUP unmatched performance and reflex return that no foam, pvc or urethane can duplicate.
Designed by Tinho Dornellas and entirely built in the USA, with American made materials.
Tinho’s “squid” concept is unique and dedicated to the distance/ cruising type boards.
The 12′6″ model was an instant success and more affordable than the 14′, and boasts better speed . Developed with Cad design.
You can choose from bamboo, poplar, and other renewable source wood. Prior to ordering your board, please email and discuss with Tinho any wood or color preferences. Other custom details or options can be added at a minimal cost upgrade. Some woods are only suitable for deck use as the ” figure” is too wavy for proper hydrodynamics.
The sizes offered below are for guiding purposes, many other sizes can be made, to meet your requirements
All boards are constructed with high performance glass fabric and Innegra fiber, chosen for its ultralight weight and ballistic properties. We utilize materials based on their best properties, not currently used by other brands, and still have competitive pricing. The money saved on transport and customs duties, foreign manufacturing, goes towards better materials.
Each board is built with tail and nose blocks made of Paulowina wood, a super light hardwood that REPELS water, is a renewable resource ( trees reach harvesting size in a mere 3 years), and is planted in the USA.
Fin Boxes – either US box for center fin or Pro box are used for side fins `on our boards.
A goretex vent eliminates vent screws and allows for constant pressure equalization, eliminating internal stress of the sandwich construction
Choose from painted finish or clear finish over wood veneer.
