In The News
The 29th Calema Midwinters and KONA North Americans enjoyed 3 days of great winds – ranging from 10-22mph. The sun was shining on Friday and Sunday and part of Saturday and the temperature reminded us why we all love Florida — mostly in the 70′s-80′s with only a drop in temperature on Saturday afternoon and evening which prompted jackets and wetsuits. The 77 competitors from 11 countries had great camaraderie on and off the water and the event was ‘protest’ free in all divisions.
Congrats to the KONA North American Champions – Andree Gauthier (CAN) and Dave Stanger (USA). Top KONA finisher was Joachim Larrson from Sweden.
Great racing, good food, suntans and smiles will fill the memories of all the attendees – looking forward to the tentative dates for the Midwinters 2016 – which is slated for TH-SUN – March 3-6, 2016! Mark your calendars – and remember that we will once again offer the WORKSHOP Fleet – the “learn to race” fleet as well as another Learn to Windsurf fleet. So, invite your windsurfing and non-windsurfing friends and plan on coming to FL in March 2016! RESULTS are posted and see fantastic pictures by John Dornellas & Tinho on our FACEBOOK page.
